Cervical spine injuries often occur from trauma. Whiplash in a car accident will cause cervical spine injury. Football players are prone to getting cervical spine injuries.

Soft tissue injury

Often in cervical spine injuries, broken bones can cause catastrophic damage, such as spinal cord injury and paralysis. However, often overlooked, is the fact that soft tissue damage can also be permanently debilitating. Soft tissue damage includes things such as herniated disks and pinched nerves.
