Jerry Azumah

Chicago Bears Football Player with Cervical Spine Injury

Jerry Azumah, it’s widely reported, had a titanium plate placed in his neck to repair a herniated disc. Reportedly, the operation was done in Pittsburgh. The 1994 season is Azumah’s fifth year in the league. He has been out from his neck injury from September 8, 2004 until playing again October 17th, 2004, an amazingly short recovery time after cervical spine surgery.

Corner back, Jerry Azumah, returned to the Bears to play against the Washington Redskins on October 17th, 2004. Azumah is also a Pro-Bowl kick-off returner. Chicago lost the game, WASHINGTON 13, CHICAGO 10.

Jerry Azumah, who intercepted a Mark Brunell pass and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown, scored the only touchdown of the game for the Chicago Bears.

Azuma wears jersey number 23 and played college football in New Hampshire.
